MEN’S BASKETBALL
Heading into the GLVC tournament, the men’s basketball team was ranked No. 6 in the draw. Last week, the Hounds rolled to the championship game after opening with an easy win over 11th seed Missouri S&T before upsetting No. 2 seed Truman and No. 3 seed Lewis despite dropping the title match in a hard fought match against fourth seed UMSL.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE

The No. 2 women’s lacrosse team continues to shine at the start of the season. Last Friday, the Hounds took a huge win over No. 10 Grand Valley State in a 14-8 final before easily beating Davenport 22-10 on Sunday. Most notably, Abigail Lagos was named GLVC Offensive Player of the Week while Bella Schoor was named Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

MEN’S TENNIS

The No. 8 tennis team fought back to earn two wins at the UIndy Tennis Center last week. On Saturday, the Greyhounds beat Wayne State (MI) in a close 4-3 battle that ended in a decisive third-set victory. Sunday was a different story as the Hounds easily beat UMSL 6-1.

SOFTBALL

The No. 5 softball team traveled to West Virginia State last Saturday and had little trouble with the Yellow Jackets in a doubleheader. UIndy won the first game 13-0 while winning the second game 10-4. The Hounds have now won 10 straight games at the start of the season.

MEN’S LACROSSE

The No. 3 men’s lacrosse team traveled south to Montevallo and took a 10-6 victory. With the win, the Hounds are now 5-0 going into the 2022 campaign, tying for the best start to the season in school history.

WOMEN’S TENNIS

The No. 2 women’s tennis team started last week Monday by defeating West Alabama in the third-place match at the ITA DII Indoor Tag Team Championships by a score of 4-0. The Hounds took matters into their own hands on Sunday by adding a dominating 7-0 win over UMSL in a non-conference showdown at the UIndy Tennis Center.

BASEBALL

The baseball team went down three times in a four-game Friday-Sunday series at Greyhound Park against Wayne State (MI).

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

The women’s basketball team was eliminated from the GLVC tournament last Monday in a narrow 64-61 loss to eighth seed Southwest Baptist.
