Big Pacific bats sink divers – Marin Independent Journal

Tyler Georgeson and Beau Dorman combined for nine hits and nine RBIs as they powered the San Rafael Pacifics in Tuesday’s 22-8 victory over the visiting Santa Rosa Scuba Divers.

Santa Rosa took a four-run lead early in the first inning, but San Rafael responded quickly, with a two-run brace from Dorman and a two-run homer from Georgeson to highlight a six-run effort, which gave the Pacifics a lead they would never give up.

Georgeson had five points and scored twice in a 5-on-6 day, while Dorman drove home four points and scored four times in a 4-on-6 outing. Jonathan Waite was 3- in-5 with three RBIS and a run.

Pacifics player/manager Kyle Ulanday struck out nine, walked three and allowed 10 hits in an all-game effort for the win.

The two teams are scheduled to face off Thursday in Santa Rosa.

Eight teams are scheduled to complete competition in the Marin Summer League on Saturday afternoon at St. Vincent’s in San Rafael. The teams include players from the College of Marin, San Francisco State University, Sonoma State University, and Merritt College, as well as two alumni teams from Redwood and Tamalpais High Schools, and a team of former college players.
