ICG celebrates I-Day in style and raises the national flag underwater on the coast of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands [WATCH]

Port Blair: The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) celebrated the 75th Independence Day in style by successfully hoisting the national flag underwater on a coast of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

ANI news agency shared a video of the ICG hoisting the tricolor and its officials posing for photos with the flag.

‘Celebration at its peak as the Indian Coast Guard hoist the national flag underwater on the 75th anniversary of India’s independence at Andaman and Nicobar islands,” he said.

The nation celebrates the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit” Mahotsav to encourage people to bring Tiranga home and hoist it to mark the 75th anniversary of India’s independence and the glorious history of the people, culture and achievements of India.

During its launch, Prime Minister Modi also urged the people of India to hoist the tricolor at home between August 13 and 15 to celebrate the 75th Independence Day.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is observed by the central government, whose official journey began on March 12, 2021, which launched a 75-week countdown to our 75th anniversary of independence.
