New Zealand have won two Olympic gold medals in canoeing, one silver in sailing and one bronze in boxing – the day is far from over.

Lisa Carrington won a third consecutive Olympic gold medal in her specialty event.

The New Zealand paddler won her K1 200m women’s canoe-kayak final on Tuesday afternoon at the Tokyo Olympics, giving her gold again after her triumphs in the same category in London in 2012 and four years more late in Rio.

Tom Walsh: “The men's shot put is as strong as it has ever been… I can't see anything under 22m winning a medal.
